Quick answers to common questions. If you don't find what you need, we're an email away.

How are prayer times calculated?

Muslim Keep calculates prayer times locally on your device using astronomical algorithms. You can choose from 15+ calculation methods including MWL, ISNA, Umm Al-Qura, Diyanet, Karachi, Tehran, Egypt, Kuwait, France, and more. You can also pick Hanafi or Shafi'i Asr calculation independently. High-latitude adjustments are available. Your local mosque or Islamic authority is the definitive source for prayer times in your area; use Muslim Keep's times as a guide.

Does Muslim Keep work offline?

Yes. Every core feature — prayer times, Qibla, prayer guides, dhikr, fasting tracker, Hijri calendar — works entirely on-device with no network connection. Network access is only used for optional iCloud sync and App Store subscription verification.

How do I change my madhab (Hanafi / Shafi'i) or calculation method?

Open Muslim Keep → tap the gear icon in the top right to open Settings → Prayer Settings → choose your calculation method and madhab. Changes apply immediately to today's prayer times and all future calculations.

Does App Lock require a subscription?

Yes. App Lock is a Premium feature. It uses Apple's Screen Time / FamilyControls framework to shield apps you choose during prayer windows, and removes the shield after you confirm your prayer. The free tier covers prayer times, Qibla, guides, dua & dhikr, the Hijri calendar, and basic fasting logging.

Does Muslim Keep collect my data or track me?

No. Muslim Keep does not collect, transmit, or sell your personal data. All prayer logs, dhikr counts, and settings stay on your device. If you enable iCloud Sync, your data goes to your private iCloud account — we cannot read it. There are no ads, no third-party analytics, and no trackers. See our Privacy Policy for the full detail.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple through the App Store. Open your iPhone's Settings → tap your name at the top → Subscriptions → Muslim Keep → Cancel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Lifetime purchases are one-time and do not need cancellation.

How do I report a bug or suggest a feature?

Send an email to support@muslimkeep.com with a short description, your iPhone model, and your iOS version. If the bug involves a specific screen, a screenshot is helpful. We read every message.

Which iPhones are supported?

Muslim Keep requires iOS 17 or later and runs on any iPhone that can install iOS 17 — that is, iPhone XS and newer. iPad is supported in a limited way (prayer times and Qibla work; some App Lock features may not). Apple Watch complications are planned but not shipping yet.
